316Ti Stainless Steel
316Ti stainless steel is a titanium-stabilized version of 316 stainless steel, designed to maintain excellent corrosion resistance while providing superior strength and stability at elevated temperatures. The addition of titanium prevents chromium carbide precipitation during welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion and maintaining long-term durability. 316Ti is ideal for applications in chemical processing, power generation, petrochemical plants, marine environments, and high-temperature equipment. It is supplied in wire rod form under standards such as ASTM A276/A479. 316Ti stainless steel is specified over standard 316 in petrochemical and power-generation piping that operates continuously at elevated temperatures, where titanium stabilization prevents sensitization during long-term service.
