304L Stainless Steel
304L stainless steel is a low-carbon version of 304 stainless steel, designed to reduce carbide precipitation during welding and improve resistance to intergranular corrosion. It retains the excellent corrosion resistance, toughness, and formability of standard 304 while offering enhanced performance in welded structures. Due to its low carbon content (≤0.03%), 304L is widely used in applications where welding is required or where exposure to corrosive environments is expected. It performs well in chemical processing equipment, food and beverage machinery, pharmaceutical systems, and architectural structures. It is supplied in angle bar form under standards such as ASTM A276/A479. This grade provides good strength at both room and elevated temperatures, along with excellent fabrication characteristics, making it one of the most versatile stainless steels in industrial use.
